Got app into beta

The app I’ve spent that last 6+ months working on — JiffyCV — is finally in beta!

I wrote a post about the journey to beta if you’re interested in learning more about what goes behind ideating, validating, building and launching a beta for an app.

We’re hoping to get the app in stores early next year so hopefully next month’s round up will involve some good news.

Fixed my vacuum

I wrote a while ago about the Deebot robot vacuum that I got from Amazon and how I managed to hook it up to a PS4 controller to control it.

This week I had an excuse to get my tools and disassemble it because it started making a clacking noise when it span the main brush.

Turns out hair had got wrapped around the motor’s drive belt and that was causing issues.

Caught up on video games

Now JiffyCV is beta I decided to down tools for a couple of days and play some video games as I’d neglected Animal Crossing for about 3 months so it was good to get back on that and replay some of the events I missed.

The girlfriend and myself have also been playing WoW a lot which has been fun, we bought each other subscriptions for christmas so we could go exploring together.
